AMERICAN CONSUMER CREDIT COUNSELING HIRES KAREN NIRO AS NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Niro brings over 20 years of experience in the fields of operational, administrative, and procedural management to ACCC
(Boston, MA) – January 25, 2013 – American Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) announced today that Karen Niro has been hired as Chief Operating Officer for the nonprofit organization.
“Karen’s vast experience in the field of financial services, coupled with her keen understanding of operational and administrative best practices, makes her the ideal candidate for this job,” said Steven Trumble, president and CEO of ACCC. “ We are thrilled to have Karen on board and are looking forward to having her as part of the ACCC team.”
As COO, Niro will oversee all operational functions including management of informational technology, finance, disbursements and client services. She will work closely with the ACCC President and CEO to cultivate and execute operational strategies and opportunities for the organization.

Niro has over 20 years of experience in the field of financial services. Throughout her career, Ms. Niro has demonstrated her ability and skill in achievement and advancement in the Information Technology, Operations, and Sale divisions. Prior to being hired at ACCC, Ms. Niro served as Vice President/ Cash Management Officer for Rockland Trust from May 2009 to November 2012, as well as Vice President/Systems and Information Officer for Benjamin Franklin Bank prior to its acquisition by Rockland. Ms. Niro lives in Bellingham with her husband and two dogs.
