CREDIT COUNSELOR

Both Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
Full-Time: 9 am - 5 pm
Part Time: 5-10 pm or 6-11 pm

Duties Include

  • Provide budget analysis and advise all prospective clients about their option including offering our Debt management program to the right candidates.
  • Remain updated and advise all prospective clients on bankruptcy, Collections, and Credit reporting issues.
  • Keep abreast of changing dynamic of creditor and market demands; advise prospective clients regarding creditor variables.
  • Counsel and prepare budgets with prospective clients, ensuring that they are accurate and complete.
  • Schedule follow up calls to clients, and track all results.
  • Make outbound calls to follow up on prospective clients.
  • Communicate with peers, supervisors and management regarding potential issues: identify solutions.
  • Respond to all e-mail inquiries promptly.
  • Track and maintain personal and team goals.
  • Additional duties as determined by department supervisor

Ongoing Certification:

  • All counselors must be IPF certified within the first 12 months of employment. Counselors will also need to maintain the certification through continuing education.

  

DISBURSEMENT ANALYST

Hours: 12:00 to 8:00 M-Th and 10:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday’s
Bi-lingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply (English/Spanish)

The Disbursement Analyst is responsible for entering client payments via check, money order, western union, and electronic funds transfer (EFT). The Disbursement Analyst is also responsible for obtaining payoff balances for client’s unsecured accounts through monthly payoff reports, or individual payoffs at a client’s request. The Disbursement Analyst handles client terminations, mortgage letters, and completion letters, returned creditor checks, single disbursements, and monetary record keeping. The Disbursement Analyst works on various reports each month in order to meet deadlines for EFT draw dates as well as the four monthly disbursements. The Disbursement Analyst also assists in client chat sessions, via the ACCC member website.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Responsible for tasks associated with the recording and disbursement of client funds (i.e. Money Order, Electronic Fund Transfers, Western Union)
  • Responsible for interaction with clients, creditors and banks, via telephone, fax, e-mail and Internet Chat-line
  • Process and monitor daily and monthly reports, assigned as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assists in completing EFT updates/changes
  • Receiving and working the Peregrin (Capital One/Resurgent) Reports ("Near payoff" and "all active")
  • Receiving and working the Western Union payment Re-cap reports
  • Assists in updating EFT account information when needed
  • Assists in maintaining Spanish phone line- 601
