Once again, thank you seems too small, too short, and too little to say.

You managed to turn a grumpy group into an engaged, involved group. I think it is your style. You are disarming in your conversational tone and confident manner. Everyone truly wanted to hear what you had to say.

Thanks also for sharing about your life and your career-in so doing you made a strong connection with the class and modeled the perseverance necessary for success.

The workshop that felt fresh, even though I am familiar with the content. Whoever said talking about money, credit, debt, etc. couldn’t be fun? The students were engaged and involved throughout your entire presentation.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your expertise with the mothers enrolled in the COMPASS Community College Collaborative program.

As you are well-aware by now—the COMPASS Community College Collaborative helps single parents in family shelters develop their abilities to reach individualized self-sufficiency goals for work, community and home, via a coordinated program of Community College based education and support services, critical information and long-term coaching.

Instructors like you from the community provide a level of expertise beyond what we could offer. Your willingness to participate and act as a partner in this program shows your level of commitment to helping others achieve their goals in education and self-sufficiency.

In sharing about your life and your career, you modeled the determination and perseverance necessary for success.

Matt your interactive, conversational approach worked well. Talking about your life put you on the same plane as your listeners. You talked with the students not at them. You listened carefully to their concerns regarding credit and their credit reports, offering suggestions and giving explanations.

Again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with us.

Thank you for your participation in ACCESS OPPORTUNITY: Boston’s Career and Information Fair held last week at the Hynes Convention Center. Hundreds of individuals visited the fair seeking advice from organizations such as yours with expertise in training and career services. The workshop leaders offered first-class and professional sessions in areas ranging from Resume Preparation, to Exploring the Green Economy, to Credit Repair and an Introduction to Health Careers, among other topics.

I spoke with many attendees who were delighted with the variety of organizations represented and the quality of guidance they received. At a time when so many people are looking for work or a chance to upgrade their skills, the career information fair gave them the opportunity to make sure their next move is the right move.

A skill and educated workforce is Boston’s greatest competitive advantage and the most cherished resource in the global economy. When we help people, we help the city. Thank you again for your efforts.

It was a pleasure to have ACCC come to speak on consumer budgets and credit. The students in the age bracket frequently have financial issues. I believe it is beneficial for them to not only understand factual information related to budgets and credit, but to also be aware of resources such as the American Consumer Credit Counseling, Inc. that can be used as a credible resource.

Matt was a guest speaker during our Transitions to Adulthood class, a weekly life skills course taught by the GED Case Managers which covers a variety of topics including financial planning, higher education, housing, time management, and health and wellness. Matt provided our students with various useful materials and gave instructions on goal setting, budgeting, credit scores, credit cards, and checking & savings accounts. Our students were given the opportunity, through activities and discussion, to explore financial issues relevant to their individual circumstances, and Matt diligently tailored his lessons to address their specific concerns and questions. Our students are grateful for the materials and information that was presented, and we look forward to working with Matt or other members of the Operation Hope teaching team in the future!
