The National Education Program is ideal for a wide variety of organizations that teach or interact with groups of individuals in need of money management training or that organize community workshop events.

ACCC offers three programs to choose from. To order your program, contact the Education Department at 1-800-769-3571 Ext. 708.

National Budget & Credit Program

The program will provide consumers with the education they need to improve their personal money management skills as well as prepare for a debt-free future. Included with this program you will receive:

  1. MakingCents Financial Literacy Program CD-ROM
    This is an interactive money management certification program on money, debt & credit. Once registered, participants of the MakingCents Financial Literacy Program can access three, self-guided sections: Understanding Money, Understanding Debt and Understanding Credit. Upon completion of the chapters as well as the sixty question final exam, participants will receive a Graduate's Completion Package that includes: a personalized certificate of completion, and three credit reporting cards that can be sent to the major credit bureaus.
  2. Budget and Credit PowerPoint Presentation with Participant Guide
    This presentation is for organizations to use and supplement within their financial literacy curriculum. The Budget and Credit presentation educates consumers on building a household budget, understanding credit and credit reports, building better credit and organizing your financial life.
  3. Financial Worksheets
    You will receive five financial worksheets that will help consumers organize their financial life. Worksheets include: Household Budgeting Worksheet, The Debt to Equity Ratio Worksheet, Debt Consolidation Worksheet, Bill Paying Worksheet, and Organizing Records Checklist.
  4. Building Better Credit Web Seminar
    One of ACCC's popular web seminar series, Building Better Credit is an insightful presentation on the basics of credit and credit reports. This 15-minute seminar is a great educational tool for the classroom or workplace.

National Financial Fitness for Kids

This curriculum is designed to teach children the important concepts of money management at an early age so they are prepared for their financial futures. Financial Fitness for Kids provides students with:

  1. A 10-chapter PowerPoint presentation and lesson
    This curriculum teaches fundamental topics including credit, the barter system and establishing banking relationships. Each session comes complete with a financial game or activity with a set of detailed instructions.
  2. FDIC Money Smart Millionaire
    This trivia game engages students with FDIC approved financial education, and allows them to learn new information under the familiar "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" game show format.
  3. Youth Education Worksheets
    ACCC provides a variety of financial education worksheets that are designed to teach children about money, saving and budgeting. Included are My First Budgeting Worksheet and the Kid's Checking Account.

National Identity Theft Program

This program will provide consumers with the education they need to stay alert and protect themselves against the growing problem of identity theft. Included with this program you will receive:

  1. Identity Theft PowerPoint Presentation and Participant Guide
    This presentation is for organizations to use and supplement within their financial literacy curriculum. The Identity Theft presentation teaches consumers how to protect themselves against the threat of identity theft, how to recognize the warning signs of identity theft, and what steps to take if you think you are a victim of identity theft.
  2. Identity Theft Resolution Worksheet
    This practical tool provides victims of Identity Theft a step by step procedure for how to reorganize your financial life and get your personal identifying information back on track. This sheet provides victims with the contact information of various resources and organizations that will need to be involved in your identity recovery process, and can help you reconcile the effects of identity theft.
  3. Preventing ID Theft Web Seminar
    One of ACCC's popular web seminar series, Preventing Identity Theft is an insightful presentation on the basics of Identity Theft and the steps consumers can take to be safe. This 15-minute seminar is a great educational tool for the classroom or workplace.
