American Consumer Credit Counseling Expands Presence And Financial Education Services To Plymouth County

Leading national consumer credit counseling non-profit to open additional offices to serve consumers in parts of Massachusetts with the greatest need for financial assistance.

Boston, MA – August 14, 2013

ACCC Expands Financial Education ServicesAmerican Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) announced today that the non-profit will expand its presence to Plymouth County to address the needs of consumers who are greatly impacted with financial issues and difficulties. ACCC’s new office will have certified credit counselors available Monday through Saturday to meet with consumers and provide them with assistance to secure a healthy financial future.

American Consumer Credit Counseling, a Newton-based nonprofit, has assisted 11,496 Massachusetts residents and each year provides more than 500 financial education workshops throughout the Commonwealth. Of ACCC’s current clients, 7 percent are residents of Plymouth County.

“With the number of our clients growing in Plymouth County, we will be able to better address the needs of consumers by providing them with credit counseling services right in their community,” stated Steve Trumble, president and CEO of American Credit Counseling. “At our new locations, consumers will be able to sit down and speak to one of our Certified Credit Counselors, who will help them regain control of their finances and work towards a debt-free future.”

In addition to Plymouth County, ACCC will be opening additional offices throughout Massachusetts. At ACCC’s new locations, consumers will be able to advantage of a variety of resources that will provide them with financial education and solutions such as a debt management plan, budget counseling, bankruptcy counseling, housing counseling as well as other financial counseling resources.

“Expanding our services to Plymouth County allows us to further fulfill ACCC’s mission to develop a greater community of financially responsible individuals and families that will thrive for generations to come,” added Trumble. “The addition of ACCC’s offices increases the accessibility of our resources to consumers so that they may be able to meet with Certified Credit Counselors in their local community, as well as online and by phone.”
