Community Education

ACCC offers the following financial education workshops to organizations and community groups in the New England area at no cost. To set up a workshop, contact our Education Department: 800-769-3571 x1980.


This is a workshop series where consumers will learn about various personal finance topics including but not limited to budgeting, credit and credit scores, banking and savings, retirement, insurance, taxes and more. This workshop series is highly customizable, based on the needs of the individuals and organizations that are served.  

Understanding Credit

This workshop goes over the most important concepts of credit including: the importance of credit, what information creates a credit score and how to improve a credit score. It also covers the best strategy for paying down credit card debt.

Money Smart

This workshop teaches you how to develop financial confidence, build financial knowledge, and learn how to use banking services using the award winning FDIC Money Smart Curriculum. Through customizable modules you will learn about banking services, borrowing and checking basics, how to make credit work for you, paying yourself first, credit history, and homeownership.

Identity Theft

Have you ever been a victim of identity theft? Learn what identity theft is, how it occurs, as well as how to protect yourself against it and what to do if you become a victim.

Youth Financial Literacy Workshops

ACCC offers a number of financial literacy workshops for youth. These workshops teach children grades K-12 the basic concepts of budgeting, checking and savings accounts, credit and investments using a variety of lessons and activities.

Teaching Children about Money

This workshop will teach you  fun and effective strategies to teach children about money and finances. Adults will learn ways to teach good money management skills to the children in their lives, whether they are 5 or 15.



American Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) provides nonprofit credit counseling and debt reduction services for consumers with credit problems who want to know how to pay off credit cards and how to get out of debt. Our certified credit counselors have helped thousands of individuals and families nationwide pay off credit card balances and unsecured debt through credit card relief programs and credit card debt solutions. Our debt management plans provide a kind of personal debt consolidation strategy for help getting out of credit card debt, and we offer a wide variety of financial education services to consumers who need help getting out of debt and managing their finances more effectively.
