No Cost 4th of July Party Ideas

Consumer debt can put a damper on things. You may feel guilty or trapped into avoiding all spending while trying to dig yourself out of trouble. However, sometimes it’s better to responsibly spend or find creative ways to have fun than to cut yourself off completely. In this case, we will give you some great and affordable 4th of July party ideas to have fun without spending any money.

First, you need to set a budget. Take a look at your household budget and find a few places to borrow funds for the party. If you are already on a very strict budget with no extra areas, there are still some ways to host a party. Whether it’s a $0 budget or $100, you can make it happen.

$0 Budget: 4th of July Party Ideas

The simplest way to host a $0 party is to make it a potluck. This way, you won’t sacrifice anything from your grocery budget or spend extra. Provide things like plates, cups, cutlery, etc… Hopefully, you have enough of these items already in your house. Keeping to the items in your home is a great way to focus on getting rid of debt.

People will appreciate you for hosting an event and organizing the dishes more than providing all the food! This way, you can make sure to have appetizers, drinks, meats, veggies and desserts. You should also limit the amount of people in attendance to help keep your cost to $0.

Finally, use things from around the house for decorations. American flags, simple table cloths, or some DIY decorations are all you need for the backyard. If you have some paint, you can make a few items. Sidewalk chalk is another great option to use on the sidewalk, driveway or patio to liven things up.

If you’re struggling to pay off debt, ACCC can help. Schedule a free credit counseling session with us today.
