Frugality Rules – What Works Most!

Following frugality rules can help your finances every step of the way. However, it is easier said than done! We thought it would be helpful for you to know some frugality rules we believe in, in case you are living with the constant struggle to get out of debt.

Try getting out of debt with these frugality rules.

Try getting out of debt with these frugality rules.

Frugality Rules – What Works Most!

1. Do you really need all the TV channels?

Cable is one of those things we never use enough to actually justify the price we pay. The cable companies put together attractive packages for your entire home and a bunch of TV channels of some you don’t even know exist! So, don’t be scared to cut the cord and only stick to your actual needs.

2. Are you taking advantage of the cash-back offers?

In the rush of getting things done, sometimes we just use our debit cards. However, the cashback deals on credit cards are getting even more attractive these days. Some cards send you gift vouchers once you reach a certain level of points and the others let you add back the cash to your bill. On top of that, some credit cards get more special offers than the others. Every penny counts when you are trying to live by frugality rules. Therefore, maximizing these rules makes more sense when debt management is a priority.

3. Look for Savings on Gas and Transportation

When you live by frugality rules you need to look for savings everywhere to work towards getting out of debt fast. Savings on gas and transportation has a lot to contribute to the cause. Look at carpooling options when possible and keep track of the lowest gas prices in your neighborhood. Drive with caution and maintain your car on time to avoid undue repairs. These may sound simple but adds up a lot to your savings.

4. Buying In and Out of Season

While food items are cheaper when bought in season, you can save a lot more buying clothes out of season. Targeting end of season sales and major holidays for your shopping can help you abide by your frugality rules! Food on the other hand works vice versa. Always shop the food in season to avoid hefty grocery bills.
