Video: What Is A Debt Management Program?

If you like our content, make sure to subscribe to our channel!

debt management program is just one possible consumer debt solution that ACCC offers to help you take control of your financial life. When you call ACCC, a certified credit advisor will help you take a holistic look at your finances and evaluate your current financial situation. Next, they will assist you in creating a realistic budget to help you better simultaneously manage your finances and debt. Having a clear sense of your financial situation will help the credit advisor determine if a debt management program is the best possible solution for you. If so, your advisor will help you determine a unique plan that works for you. Advisors will also work with creditors for possible reductions in finance charges, late or over-limit charges, monthly payments, and overall debt payoff time. Watch this video to learn more details about how a debt management program can benefit you.

Erin Cancinos: DMP or debit management program is a service offered by a credit counseling agency where you will make one monthly payment to the credit counseling agency. Then we’re going to go ahead and send that out to the creditors. Additional benefits you may receive could be lower interest rates, waived fees, and you will end up paying the unsecured debt in a shorter amount of time. American Consumer Credit Counseling can help anyone with financial issues. If we cannot we’ll give you the referrals to get the help you need.

Former ACCC DMP Client: It’s really difficult to be in a place where you just don’t know how you’re going to be able to move forward financially. ACCC was able to help me because it grounded me. Whereas I was not really understanding how I could move forward by paying my bills, it helped me get a plan, it helped me feel more confident, it helped me move forward in a way where I was going to start being able to pay off my credit. It was the most incredible feeling of all to be out of debt finally. I just don’t have that burden anymore and I feel much more informed moving forward with my credit plans.
