Today young adults are graduating college with more student loan and credit card debt than ever. American Consumer Credit Counseling's recent poll found that 77 percent of respondents have outstanding student loan debt.  Student loan and other debt has even kept many graduate from “growing up” based on traditional benchmarks in life. So we asked consumers how paying off debt has held them back from reaching typical milestones such as buying or leasing a car, getting married, buying a home, having a child, saving for retirement, and making other large purchases.
