When I started this Fiscal Fast I had big plans to blog about each day, much like Mid-life Mom Musings did. But to be completely honest, my week was so thought out that it would have been a series of really boring “I didn’t spend any money today” posts. I planned my meals ahead of time and entertained myself all week by going to the gym at night. I had to say “no” a few times to some after work activities to keep me from spending but, all in all, it proved to me that if you plan you can succeed.
I successfully completed 98% of my fast. My one slip was when lunch time rolled around on Friday. I opted for take-out when I decided that my Campbell’s Chicken Soup just wasn’t going to cut my hunger pangs. However, I said “no” to dinner out with a friend the night before, so I know that I saved myself a minimum of $50.00. Plus, Saturday morning I made an extra credit payment of $50.00. A win in the reduce debt column!
I think I am going to try another Fiscal Fast the week of February 17 – 23 and I am going to try do all 7 days. Will you join me?
